Travel on bus
Friday, October 1st, 2004

We went to Guilin last week with Tannai et Mieko san and had a wonderful trip together. When we sat on the bus and there was something that just come into my mind.

I have been told by my sister that 2 years ago when our European friends were on their first trip to China. She heard someone make a noise from next seat and found out that my friend was peeing into a plastic bag.

I felt sorry that he didn’t know there was no toilet on the bus, even though it was an 11 hours’ trip. But, still think that was a funny experience.

What’s your EQ ?
Wednesday, October 6th, 2004

What’s your EQ? When Giles was in an interview last week, he was asked such a question. He was wondering “What’s EQ?” and he is still not sure about it.

People also questioned if he is British as someone just joked with him. “what about your English?”. Giles replied “I’d give my English 10″ but they said “You fail, the highest mark is 11.5″.

Chong Yang Festival
Sunday, October 17th, 2004

Today is bank holiday in Hong Kong. It’s “Chong Yang” festival. People use the day to pray for their ancestors and family, climb or go hiking. We stayed at home just relaxing after the yearly conference from work.

After many things have happened during the years, I quite feel sad today. I just miss my older sister and think of how we could of helped her and what she should have.

I went through different blogs in Asia and found Cheryl Tan was Yong Fook’s girlfriend, and that they broke up just last week. Both their blogs are lovely, I like them alot and also feel very sorry about their relationship.

As I’m learning Feng Shui, I’ve learnt of practices which could avoid the bad problems. Hope that there is world peace and people are nice, kind & gentle and wish Good Luck for everyone.

Wind & Relationship
Saturday, October 23rd, 2004

Today when I was watching a TV programme, there is something that just make me realise that our relationship is becoming stronger and stranger.

On the programme they were talking about when a girl starts a relationship in China, the girl is always careful what the boy thinks about her. So, if she need’s to use the boy’s toilet at home, they always worry about not to make too much noise. The most embarrassing situation is that if they pee too loud or break wind accidentally. So some girls just turn on the tap or use toilet paper to stop the noise.

I remember that when we were first going out, one day I ate too much English food and the found it was too heavy. I break wind for the first time accidentally as my stomach was not use to it. Giles was angry and not speaks with me for hours. It was very funny at that moment and I even think that was damaging our relationship.

Up to now, Giles and I are more relaxed and natural. We don’t think that breaking wind is embarrassing stuff, as our relationship has become stronger even the wind cannot change anything about it
